Success at the 2015 enei Awards

Essex County Council's Inclusive Communication Essex (ICE) Resource Service has won a major national award from the Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion (enei).

In a joint bid with the Council's Equality Team, ICE was singled out for the work it does to help people with communication difficulties to be part of their community. The enei awards, hosted by the Law Society, celebrate the achievements of organisations that promote diversity and improve inclusion within the workplace.

Jason Boyce, Resource Manager, said, "inclusion is at the heart of everything we do so we are delighted to have won the Inclusive Communication Award.

We plan to build on this success and continue to raise awareness of the service so that we can reach everybody in Essex who has a communication need."
